Shishuvihar Institute was founded by Late Shri Maan bhai Bhatt in 1939 as “Swaraj ni shala” (School of Independence), and has been devoted for the past 83 years to work on child education, skill development , and women empowerment. Without any type of Government support or outside funding,the average number of people benefitting out of shishuvihar through various activities are around 6 lakh citizens every year through 452 various activities.

Shishuvihar is spread across the land area of 29,000 sq. ft. which was gifted by the former King of Bhavnagar state, Late Shri Maharaja Krishnakumar Singhji of Bhavnagar primarily with the focus to work for the underprivileged children and women with needs.

Shishuvihar remains a voluntary organization in good faith and conduct which is a matter of pride for the state of Gujarat.
