In addition to the Shishuvihar’s child-centred and service activities, its voluntary and literary activities have also been developing and expanding. A meeting of the poets is held every Wednesday evening on the premises of the institute. Poets living in Bhavnagar and visiting Bhavnagar present their poems on Wednesday.

Today, this poetry recitation session has become an indispensable activity for the poetry lovers of the town. An average of 30 poets gather here every Wednesday and poetry recitation is done. Poet Honours, Book Release, Tribute to Late Poets and Song Singing on Various Occasions take place over here. This activity has been receiving constant guidance and encouragement from the beginning.

This four-decade journey which has led to 2171 such poetry recitation sessions has resulted in the publication of various literary publications.
